Development of a new typology for a primary and secondary school in Beckenried, Switzerland -
The project develops a typology of a school that establishes a mixture and distribution of classroom and common areas as well as a relation between internal common areas and the external space. The internal distribution of the different uses within is directly deductible in the design of the facade, whereas the fixed large window elements alternate with the pragmatic demands of the classrooms.
